Many Americans are skeptical of the Biden administration’s “disinformation” board, and have compared it to the “Ministry of Truth” from George Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984. Jankowicz, 33, was announced as executive director of the Department of Homeland Security’s new Disinformation Governance Board last week, and her intensely partisan past as an anti-Trump, left-wing feminist who founded a Harry Potter “Wizard Rock” band called the “Moaning Myrtles” who now advocates for the censorship of her ideology’s political opponents has raised national concern, Valiant News reported.
She further explained that she is “someone who works with and around public servants every day.” Jankowicz said “the deep state and things like that” are part of a “thread among conspiracy communities in the United States,” adding that the notion of the existence of a “secret cabal here in Washington working to undermine the American people” couldn’t be “farther from the truth.”
